Federico Tucci, Communications and Advocacy Specialist

Federico Tucci

Federico Tucci’s role is to focus on consolidating the Alliance’s position as the leading global voice for civil society on road safety and, through targeted communications, strengthening the capacity of NGOs to contribute meaningfully to the SDGs.

He has been working in road safety for more than five years and is an alumni of the Global Road Safety Leadership Course, a suite of courses developed and delivered by the Global Road Safety Partnership in partnership with Johns Hopkins University’s International Injury Research Unit; and the Delft Road Safety Course for Low- and Middle-Income Countries. Previously, he was in charge of communications at the Fundación Gonzalo Rodríguez in Uruguay. There he was responsible for the organisation’s communication strategy, as well as the institutional spokesperson for issues such as drink-driving, child restraint systems, and speed reduction. He has delivered training on communication and road safety, primarily for journalists in Latin America. He also presented the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021–2030 to different stakeholders and authorities, such as technicians from the Uruguayan highway police and road safety agencies in the region, as well as representatives of the private sector.
