Featured project
A road safety action research was taken up with support of TRL (UK) in 2003 at Betila, Bangladesh. By consulting local communities about their road safety problems, preferred solutions, BRAC designed a new and unique ‘community road safety programme (CRSP)’. The impact assessment showed remarkable improvement in local community’s knowledge and behavior of safe walking and crossing of roads. CRSP has since been scaled up beside number of country’s highly road crash prone national highway.
