On Monday 9 January, the Global Road Safety Partnership launched the Round 11 Call for Proposals under the Road Safety Grants Programme.
Since 2012, the Road Safety Grants Programme has supported organizations advocating for the adoption and implementation of evidence-based policies to protect road users. In Round 11, GRSP has expanded the scope of the Road Safety Grants Programme and will now accept applications for funding to advocate for the strengthening of road user policies as well as vehicle safety standards in eligible countries.
Since its inception, the programme has awarded over 70 grants to civil society organizations in 12 countries.
Safer Road Users: Eligible Countries and Cities
Applications addressing national level road user policy reform and/or its implementation will be accepted from China, India, Philippines, Tanzania and Thailand.
Applications addressing city level road user policy reform and/or its implementation will be accepted from Accra (Ghana), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Bandung (Indonesia), Bangkok (Thailand), Bogota (Colombia), Fortaleza (Brazil), Ho Chi Minh City (Viet Nam), Mumbai (India), Sao Paolo (Brazil) and Shanghai (China).
Safer Vehicles: Eligible Countries
Applications addressing national level vehicle safety policy reform and/or its implementation will be accepted from India and Mexico.
