In addition to the pre-meeting training and the Global Meeting, we are also offering two further days of training on Saturday 1 April and Sunday 2 April. The sessions are, of course, led by experts in their fields and are based on topics highlighted as significant to Alliance Members. Participants in each session will be selected on the basis of their level of experience.

Project Management – 1 day – 2 April 2017

Description: This training will provide you with useful techniques to successfully plan, implement and manage your road safety projects. It will equip you with knowledge on a logical framework approach to project management and provide you with a set of tools that will enable you to become more accountable in carrying out your road safety initiatives. Monitoring and Evaluation – 2 days – 1 and 2 April 2017

Description: Monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is a process that helps improve performance and achieve results. Its goal is to improve current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact. It is mainly used to assess the performance of projects, institutions and programs set up by governments, international organizations and NGOs. This training session will cover how to identify existing data, how to collect your own data and how to use data effectively. Read more HERE.

Social Marketing and Behavior Change in Road Safety – 2 days – 1 and 2 April 2017

Description: How do you build an effective behavior change campaign and what are the techniques and approaches that work in creating cost effective campaigns and interventions? Social Marketing supports behavior that is socially desirable and reduces risks. Many road safety organizations have these aims, but without a more strategic perspective on how to build effective, evidence based interventions, they struggle to deliver activities that have measurable outcomes. This two day training is designed to give a broad understanding of how to develop social marketing interventions. Spokesperson Training for Communicating With and Through the Media – 2 days – 1 and 2 April 2017

Description: On a regular basis NGOs are asked by newspapers, radio, online media, and TV for interviews and this provides an opportunity to address the organization’s concerns. This training will equip road safety NGOs with tools to efficiently determine the message to present and how to build a media relationship with the overall goal of communicating the most pertinent road safety problems that best inform their countries and organizations. Read more HERE.
