Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), Switzerland is the governing body of motorcycle sport and the global advocate for motorcycling. In order to more easily promote motorcycling, the FIM has spent many decades of its 120 years working to make motorcycling safer and more sustainable. This activity ranges from supporting its 121 national members in road safety activities in their countries (including training and infrastructure campaigns) to lobbying for better legislation and standards at EU and UN level.
Flagman Inc, USA is dedicated to saving the lives of first responders, highway workers, and the motoring public by promoting the importance of slowing down and moving over for roadside incidents. Their mission includes educating drivers on safely navigating roadside emergencies through their “Slow Down Move Over” campaign. Its goals include developing key partnerships, launching pilot safety campaigns, and implementing K-12 education outreach programs.
Initiative 53 is an NGO in Djibouti focused on promoting and encouraging initiatives to protect road users and prevent road traffic crashes. Its activities include road safety education for children and adolescents, raising public awareness about road safety, and proposing measures to public authorities for improving road safety. The NGO collaborates with similar organizations both nationally and internationally and engages in road safety prevention actions in educational establishments, awareness campaigns during key road safety events, and workshops with government officials to recommend safety improvements.
Riders’ Rights is a grassroots civil society organization in Lebanon dedicated to making public transport accessible and inclusive for all, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age, social status, or physical or mental abilities. The organization focuses on defending riders’ basic rights and promoting the use of buses as a primary means of transportation. Core values include fostering civic action and engagement by promoting dialogue with all stakeholders, building partnerships for change with riders, drivers, providers, and officials, and ensuring equity and inclusion by representing all public transport users and advocating for an inclusive community.
California Innovation Group, Italy focuses on pedestrian safety through innovative technology. Their mission is to create safe, healthy, and productive urban environments by eliminating pedestrian fatalities using smart crosswalks and AI-enabled dual 3D cameras. The group’s concept revolves around the SII theory of smart living: Security, Information, and Innovation.
