The ‘Every Journey, Every Child’ conference takes a child health perspective to showcase, to an international policy audience, London’s approach to tackling air pollution and implementing healthy streets, and to demonstrate – with examples from the US, Latin America, Africa and Asia – how other major cities around the world are grappling with similar issues and following similar paths to re-imagining their urban space. The conference seeks to build on the commitment by governments and cities in the Habitat III New Urban Agenda that a ‘safe and healthy journey to school for every child is a priority’, and the Sustainable Development Goal targets on road safety and air quality, to promote practical action around the world.
The conference is organized by the Global Initiative for Child Health and Mobility and supported by FIA Foundation. Read more HERE.
