The Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety (Alliance) is pleased to announce its first regional meeting in Latin America, to be held in Mexico 5-7 November 2024, with the support of Fundacion Aleatica. The conference will bring together road safety NGOs and stakeholders from across the region to exchange best practices, gain valuable insights from each other, and collaborate on strategies to improve road safety and save lives.
The meeting will be an opportunity for NGOs to mobilize and advocate for stronger and more sustainable mobility policies and programs in their respective countries. The event will include workshops and training sessions, providing the perfect opportunity to track the progress of the Global Plan in the region and prepare for the next Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in 2025.
The Latin America Chapter of the Alliance is a network of 61 member NGOs representing 15 countries in the region. The Chapter provides a platform to strengthen and empower civil society in Latin America to address the region’s and NGOs’ specific challenges and needs.
La Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety (la Alianza) se complace en anunciar el lanzamiento de su primera reunión regional en América Latina, que se celebrará en México del 5 al 7 de noviembre 2024, con el apoyo de la Fundación Aleatica. La conferencia reunirá a ONG de seguridad vial y socios estratégicos de toda la región para intercambiar mejores prácticas, obtener valiosos conocimientos mutuos y colaborar en los planes para mejorar la seguridad vial y salvar vidas.
La reunión será una oportunidad para que las ONG se movilicen y aboguen por políticas y programas de movilidad más sólidos y sostenibles en sus respectivos países. El evento incluirá talleres y sesiones de capacitación, proporcionando la oportunidad perfecta para hacer un seguimiento del progreso del Plan Global en la región y prepararse para la próxima Conferencia Ministerial Global sobre Seguridad Vial en 2025.
El Capítulo Latinoamericano de la Alianza es una red de 61 ONG miembros que representan a 15 países de la región. El Capítulo proporciona una plataforma para fortalecer y empoderar a la sociedad civil de América Latina con el fin de abordar los retos y necesidades específicos de la región y de las ONG.
